Thank you for booking a tour with We Speak. Please read these Terms & Conditions carefully before your tour date. By booking a tour, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to the terms below.
1. Tour Description
We Speak offers guided experiences in Mexico City designed to help participants practice conversational Spanish in real-world settings. Our tours combine cultural exploration with language practice and are not formal language classes or certified instruction. Guides will adapt the pace and difficulty of conversation to the group’s level, but We Speak does not guarantee a specific level of language proficiency or improvement as a result of participation.
2. Booking & Payment
- A booking is confirmed only once full payment (or the required deposit, if applicable) has been received.
- Prices are listed in USD and include applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.
- We Speak reserves the right to correct pricing errors before a booking is confirmed.
3. Cancellation Policy
Cancellations may be made in accordance with We Speak’s current policy:
- Full Refund: Cancellations made 72 hours or more before the tour date are eligible for a 100% refund.
- Partial Refund: Cancellations made less than 72 hours before the tour date are eligible for a 50% refund.
- Minimum Participants: If a tour is canceled because the minimum number of participants is not reached, guests will be offered an alternative date. If the alternative date does not work for the guest, a full refund will be issued.
- Force Majeure & Unforeseen Circumstances: If a tour must be canceled due to circumstances beyond our control (such as extreme weather, government restrictions, or other unforeseen events), We Speak will work with guests to reach a fair solution, which may include rescheduling, credit toward a future tour, or a refund by mutual agreement.

4. Physical Requirements & Health
- Our tours typically involve walking, standing, and being outdoors for extended periods, sometimes on uneven terrain and in variable weather or altitude conditions (Mexico City sits at approximately 2,240 meters / 7,350 feet above sea level).
- Participants are responsible for assessing their own fitness to take part and for informing their guide in advance of any medical condition, mobility limitation, or allergy that may require accommodation.
- We Speak is not a substitute for travel insurance. We strongly recommend that all guests obtain appropriate travel and medical insurance before their tour.
5. Assumption of Risk & Liability
- Participation in a We Speak tour involves inherent risks associated with travel, walking tours, public spaces, and food or beverage tastings (where applicable).
- To the fullest extent permitted by law, We Speak, its guides, and its partners are not liable for personal injury, loss, theft, or damage to personal property occurring during a tour, except where caused by our own gross negligence or willful misconduct.
- Guests are responsible for their own belongings, valuables, and travel documents at all times during the tour.
6. Conduct & Guide’s Discretion
- We Speak aims to provide a respectful, inclusive environment for all participants and guides.
- Guides reserve the right to remove any participant from a tour, without refund, whose behavior is abusive, unsafe, discriminatory, or disruptive to the group.
- Guides may adjust the itinerary, pace, or stops for reasons of safety, weather, local conditions, or group needs.
7. Age Requirements & Minors
- Participants under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
- We Speak reserves the right to request identification to confirm a participant’s age where relevant.
8. Photography & Media
- We Speak or its representatives may take photographs or videos during tours for promotional purposes (e.g., website, social media).
- Guests who do not wish to be photographed should inform their guide at the start of the tour, and We Speak will make reasonable efforts to accommodate this request.
9. Changes to the Tour
We Speak reserves the right to modify tour itineraries, meeting points, or included activities when necessary due to safety, availability, or circumstances beyond our control, without this constituting a material change requiring a refund, provided the overall experience is comparable.
10. Privacy
Personal information collected during booking (such as name, contact details, and payment information) is used solely for the purpose of managing your reservation and improving our services, in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
11. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Mexico and, where applicable, the laws of Mexico City (Ciudad de México). Any disputes arising from these terms will be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts of Mexico City.
