The sculpture space was inaugurated on April 23, 1979, designed by sculptor Federico Silva — a fascinating space located within the ecological reserve of Ciudad Universitaria (UNAM). A ring of Tezontle stone with black lava floor is the center; the stone sculptures contrast sharply with the beautiful landscape.

The National Museum of Anthropology was inaugurated on September 17, 1964 by president Adolfo López Mateos. An unmissable stop, this museum houses some of the most important archaeological and ethnographic pieces in the country. Architect Pedro Ramírez Vázquez conceived that this building would not be a simple repository, since the museum is part of our cultural heritage and a piece of art itself.

Painted in a beautiful deep blue, it would seem that this house holds a bit of heaven — Casa Azul is Frida Kahlo’s intimate universe, where she lived for most of her life. Frida’s wish was to convert this house into a museum once she passed away; she wanted everyone to enjoy and learn about her legacy.
