How to learn Mexican Spanish like a local
The best way to pick up Mexican Spanish is to hear it where it lives: at a taco stand, in a market, or chatting with your guide on the way to a museum. For example, you will quickly notice how often locals soften a request with a diminutive, or how one word can change meaning depending on the tone. In addition, hearing these phrases in context makes them much easier to remember than a vocabulary list.
That is exactly how we teach. Join one of our immersion experiences in Mexico City, such as the street food tour, or combine them with our Spanish courses to practice what you learn the same day. Want more everyday expressions? Visit the WeSpeak blog.
